Groupe CAT rolls out Hardis WMS across its European warehouses to boost growth

Groupe CAT’s contract logistics division is replacing its existing warehouse management applications with Hardis WMS as it looks to boost business growth, gain flexibility, and meet its customers’ specific requirements with a single, Europe-wide system.

Grenoble, November 12, 2025 – Hardis Supply Chain, a leading provider of supply chain software, announced that Groupe CAT, a major automotive transportation and logistics firm, will gradually roll out the Hardis WMS warehouse management system (formerly Reflex WMS) across its European logistics platforms. The move will see tools developed in-house replaced with a single application deployed on Google Cloud and interfaced with the group’s ERP system. Following a successful first go-live in Poland in April 2025, Hardis WMS is currently being rolled out in Spain, with around 20 European sites set to follow in the coming months.

Standardized systems and processes and an enhanced customer experience

Groupe CAT is one of Europe’s leading players in automotive transportation and logistics, with 6,100 employees in 16 countries working across two main business lines.

The group’s Vehicle business line handles the transportation and distribution of new and used vehicles, as well as offering value-added services such as preparation, conversion, and restoration. Meanwhile, through its Cargo business line, the group provides custom logistics services to manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and industrial firms: storing and shipping components and spare parts to factories, offering a rapid delivery service for replacement parts and tires, and distributing motorcycles (its only B2B and B2C activity).

The Cargo business line operates from 85 logistics platforms across Europe, with the majority of its sites in France, Spain, and Poland. Previously, Groupe CAT used systems developed in-house to manage Contract Logistics operations at these platforms. To help boost its business growth, the firm decided to phase out these tools in favor of an off-the-shelf WMS system that would offer greater flexibility to meet client and prospect requirements, as well as support process standardization across its countries of operation. Following a competitive tender process, the group opted for Hardis WMS on Google Cloud on account of its feature-rich design and its ability to cater to a wide variety of logistics needs.

“The Hardis Supply Chain team was instrumental in helping us structure the project and devise standard processes, moving away from our previous focus on specific developments,” said Sophie Malosse, Head of IT Business Solutions at Groupe CAT. “We opted for three core models: one for spare parts, led by Poland; a second for motorcycle storage and distribution, driven by France; and a third covering tires and lubricants, handled by Spain. We then worked with our country teams to ensure that the processes met the needs of all sites.”

Live deployments in Poland and Spain as part of a phased Europe-wide rollout

Groupe CAT’s Cargo business line began deploying Hardis WMS in Poland, working closely with Hardis Supply Chain’s local team. Since April 2025, the application has supported its first activity —managing spare parts for an automotive manufacturer. The firm chose a site in Valencia, Spain, for the second rollout, where the WMS handles local replacement parts operations for a new customer. The project was completed in just six weeks—a pace Malosse attributes to “the Hardis team’s professionalism and dedication.” By the end of 2025, the Cargo business line will oversee all spare parts operations for this manufacturer in Spain, from six warehouses equipped with the Hardis warehouse management software. “We use Hardis WMS as a matter of routine for new customers in all countries,” said Malosse.

The Cargo business line is currently putting the finishing touches to the core model for its motorcycle distribution operations, with deployment planned before the end of the year. The long-term objective is to roll out Hardis WMS—interfaced with the group’s ERP system—across all sites.

“We’ll gradually migrate all our activities to Hardis WMS so we can win new business, shorten client onboarding times, and standardize—and in some cases, rethink—our existing physical processes,” added Malosse. “The application will also help us improve traceability.”
